Because of an unnoticed, multiple forearm fracture, a young man from Bavaria developed the nervous disease CRPS.
But giving up is not an option.
Burgbernheim – At the age of 18, Jonasnaur fell several meters down.
He broke his arm several times.
However, this was not immediately recognized and the nervous disease CRPS developed in the young man.
A shocking diagnosis – but giving up is not an option for the 23-year-old from Burgbernheim in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district.
Despite nervous illness CRPS: 23-year-old Bavarian works - and fights
The nervous disease CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) has hardly been researched to date, making therapy difficult.
This was also explained to Jonas by the senior doctor, who predicted a life as an early pensioner or Hartz IV recipient, reports the BR (the whole report is available here).
And that at the age of not even 20, shortly before the end of his training as a model builder.
A heavy blow.
But it wasn't an option for the young man.
He continued and completed his training – although at the beginning it was only possible to work for a few hours a day.
According to BR, he even completed an additional qualification comparable to the master’s degree.
He wanted to work - and since it was still difficult to work eight hours a day and hardly any company would accept that, Jonas saw only one solution - he started his own business.
"Magic Wood Manufactory": The family supports the 23-year-old
As the BR further reports, Jonas works with wood that is out of the question for normal carpentry - for example walnut wood.
He fills in the cracks with synthetic resin, lets it harden for weeks, and painstakingly sands it down.
Then there are the table legs.

Jonas is alone in his workshop, but his family helps him to become self-employed.
Sometimes he works longer, sometimes shorter - depending on how it goes.
His arm still hurts every day.
According to BR, you don't notice that on Jonas Nahrungsmittel.
It is a battle that the young carpenter is fighting against the disease.
And he wins.
