Today (13th) two clips were circulated on the Internet, showing that a female passenger was suspected of arguing with the driver because of the driving route, and they yelled at each other.

After the taxi arrived, when the female passenger opened the door and was about to get off, the taxi drove away suddenly. The female passenger yelled for help along the way, but the driver ignored it and continued driving for about 1 minute.

The incident eventually alerted passers-by to stop the driver and call the police.

The police said that the 67-year-old taxi driver involved in the case was arrested in Ngau Tau Kok this afternoon on suspicion of "dangerous driving". He was released on bail pending further investigation and must report to the police in mid-February.

The taxi driver drove while the female passenger was about to get off the bus. During this time, the door opened and the female passenger kept yelling "Help", but the driver did not say a word.

The police stated that they noticed online clips. In the video, a taxi picked up a female passenger from Kowloon City to Ngau Tau Kok at about 8:00 pm on December 23 last year. During this period, the two parties had a dispute over the driving route.

The taxi then drove to the roundabout on Mu Yuen Street and stopped. When the female passenger wanted to open the door and get off from the back seat, the driver suddenly drove and drove forward, during which the rear door was still open, seriously endangering the safety of passengers.

The police handed over the case to the Traffic Department of Kowloon East Region for active follow-up investigation. So far this afternoon, the 67-year-old taxi driver surnamed Chen has been arrested.

At the beginning of the first clip circulated on the Internet, the female passenger said, "I said, what's wrong with the flyover, so you're going to piss?" The driver retorted, "Drink so loudly!" The female passenger responded, "I'll drink first! "The two immediately scolded each other, during which they exchanged rough words.

At the beginning of another clip, the taxi had stopped, and neither the driver nor the female passenger spoke. About 27 seconds later, when the female passenger opened the taxi door and was about to get off, the taxi suddenly drove away, and the passengers and the men on the side of the road both shouted : "Hey... Hey... Hey..." But the driver ignored it and continued driving. During this time, the door opened, and the female passenger lowered the window and shouted for help. The scene lasted for at least a minute.

The female victim wrote an article on the Internet to explain the ins and outs of the incident, saying that she was taking a taxi from the French Hospital to Regent Gardens in Kowloon Bay. During the process, she reminded the driver that there was a new road, but the driver yelled: "I'm going to turn on the lights, are you blind? After the two sides scolded each other, the taxi driver called the police saying that "the passengers are rotten".

The victim then called to inform her husband to come down to pick him up. However, the driver did not go to Regent Garden, but went to the nearby Delang Village. When the victim opened the door and got off the car, he suddenly drove to Hongtian Plaza. Passers-by saw the victim kept calling for help. So he asked the driver to get off the car, and the victim got off the car afterward.

The victim also claimed that the police officers came to the scene to record his personal information, and later quoted the police as saying that it would be caused by the driver's careless driving or dangerous driving, as well as illegal imprisonment.
