For Christian Bobin, the Ministry of Culture opens its doors

Rima Abdul Malak welcomes the general public to rue de Valois for an evening entitled “Night of the Heart”, on Friday January 20. Six hours of reading in homage to the work of the writer and poet.


As part of the second year of "Nights of Reading" organized by the National Book Center (CNL), from January 19 to 22, the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak, wished to pay tribute on Friday January 20 to Christian Bobin, the writer-poet who left us in November 2022. To do so, the Ministry of Culture (Rue de Valois) will open its doors to the general public for an evening entitled "Night of the Heart" which will take place from 8 p.m. 2:00.

Throughout this evening, texts by the writer from Le Creusot, author of some sixty books since

in 1977, will resonate within the walls of the ministry, interspersed with musical beats.

Six hours of reading

During these six hours, within the walls of the Ministry of Culture, the Minister, relatives of Christian Bobin, writers, poets, musicians, his publisher Antoine Gallimard, Sophie Nauleau, François Busnel, the doyenne of the Comédie Française , Claude Mathieu, Laure Adler, Eric Ruf, General Administrator of the Comédie Française, André Velter, Anna Cervinka and Jean Chevalier, members of the Comédie Française, will read aloud texts by the native of Le Creusot.

On the occasion of the

Nights of Reading

, opening the doors of the ministry to everyone to share his texts and his memory seems to me to be a nice farewell to this generous and discreet man whose pen was able to bring together the most diverse readers.

This evening event will also allow the public to read aloud a few pages of Christian Bobin.

But only 450 places will be available at the rate of 150 per slot.
