The presentation of the candidates for the youth council should be more meaningful and personal.
The committee will be re-elected in November.
Geretsried – The election will take place online this year from November 8th to 29th.
In contrast to the city council, which has a six-year electoral period, the youth council in Geretsried is only elected for two years.
It used to be three years.
The committee consists of eight to twelve young people between the ages of 14 and 24.
At the time of the election, the applicants must not be 22 years old.
Presentation in the Saftladen and in the Ein-Stein in October
Because it was not so easy to find enough candidates in the past, the incumbent youth councilors want to point out the election in good time and advertise a candidacy.
This time, all applicants should have two opportunities to introduce themselves to the youngsters in Geretsried.
A “meet 'n' talk” is planned for October 24th at the Saftladen youth center and on October 26th at the Ein-Stein youth club.
It starts at 6 p.m. each day.

Youth council spokeswoman Isabella Schrills also suggested at the meeting on Monday that a summer party or other campaigns be used to try to find applicants.
However, the other councilors rejected this because numerous other topics such as participation in the new construction of the playgrounds on Johannisplatz and in Stein and the application for a pump track in the city council are already pending for this year.
Short introduction videos
The youth councilors liked the idea of Geretsried's city youth worker Julia Brandner that the candidates should also introduce themselves in short videos.
The videos could run online on Instagram or on the city's website.
"That would be more meaningful and personal than just a photo," said Brandner.
Sabrina Lorenz suggested that the youth council should give away environmentally friendly promotional items in the future.
Ideas are collected until the next meeting.
