Hero firefighter: it was his birthday, he went out on a motorcycle to put out a fire and died after colliding with a truck

He got on the motorcycle and left with the speed imposed by the fire in a house in Hugo del Carril and Berlin, and for which they had 

activated the siren call

in the Tres de Febrero barracks in which he was serving.

As officially stated, Sosa

collided with a truck

on the way.

It was at the intersection of Río Cuarto street and Presidente Juan Domingo Perón avenue, in the Remedios de Escalada neighborhood.

After the accident, the assistant petty officer was

urgently transferred

to the Bocalandro Hospital, where despite the doctors' attempts,

they could not revive him.

He died from injuries caused by the accident.

The 43-year-old trucker was charged with

manslaughter

, reported the regional news portal Primer Plano Online. 

The Loma Hermosa detachment, where Sosa had served since November 2004.

"We accompany his family, friends and comrades from the institution in this difficult moment," said the Tres de Febrero fire department.

More than 19 years of service

As reported in the official statement released after the tragedy, Sosa had served

more than 19 uninterrupted years

in the Loma Hermosa detachment: he had entered the Tres de Febrero Volunteer Fire Department on November 1, 2004.

married

to Andrea, with whom he had

three children

, Paola, Enzo, Mía and Tamara, who was his

daughter from the heart
