A Somali national, under a European warrant for a homicide committed in Germany in December, was arrested in the European Metropolis of Lille and imprisoned with a view to his extradition, a police source told AFP.
The 23-year-old man was located Wednesday in Marquette-lez-Lille by the Lille judicial police, while he was waiting for a medical appointment in a public health establishment, said this source.

Incarcerated in a remand center
He is suspected of having killed an Albanian national in December in Flensburg, a city in northern Germany.
Presented to the Douai Court of Appeal, he was imprisoned in a remand center within the jurisdiction.
His arrest is the result of cooperation between the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the National Fugitive Search Brigade (BNRF) and the Lille PJ, the source added.
