An "assault on police" case occurred in North Point.
At around 00:00 in the morning, a man took off his mask and smoked on the side of the road outside No. 370 King's Road, North Point. By chance, a police officer saw the incident and accused him of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing Mask) Regulations, Chapter 599I 》, prosecute and issue citations.
It is reported that someone who smelled of alcohol suddenly kicked the door of the police car out of suspicion. Unexpectedly, a male policeman was boarding the car and was pinched by the door and injured his hand.
The other police officers arrested the man on suspicion of "assaulting the police", and the injured police officer was sent to the hospital for examination afterwards.
According to the scope of reasonable excuse under the Prevention and Control of Disease (Wearing of Mask) Regulations, smoking is not included.
Anyone who enters or is in a public place is not allowed to take off the mask to smoke.
The injured policeman was taken to hospital by ambulance.

According to the police, the arrested person was named Yang and was 28 years old.
According to reports, when police officers were handling a case at 370 King's Road, North Point, Yang suspected that he was agitated and attacked a male police officer with his feet.
After preliminary investigation, Yang was arrested on suspicion of "assaulting the police", and the case was handed over to the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up.
The male policeman injured his hand and was conscious and sent to East District Hospital for treatment.
