Target "100%" traffic in 2023. But how?
Valérie Pécresse (LR), the president of Île-de-France Mobilités summoned the leaders of transport companies this Friday to hear their action plan in order to improve the quality of network service.
The members of the board of directors listened to the interventions of the bosses of the RATP, SNCF, Transdev and Keolis.
At the end of the council, they discussed the main measures in progress.
For his first public outing as CEO of RATP, Jean Castex detailed the challenges to be met in order to restore full service on the metro, bus, tram and RER networks.
He insisted on the need to remain attractive in order to attract and retain employees working in Île-de-France, where the cost of living is high.
4,500 positions will be opened in 2023 at the RATP, including 2,500 bus drivers and 400 metro drivers.
On the maintenance trades, the former Prime Minister announced a revaluation of the lowest salaries, and the use of temporary workers, in order to have more metro trains and trains on the RER.
On the metro, improvements are promised by April.
On the other hand, on the buses, where only 85% of the offer is made today, it will be necessary to wait longer.
Recruitment pressure remains strong.
A restoration of normal frequencies is not expected before the summer.
As soon as possible.
