A new survey shows a stable majority for Söder's "Bavaria coalition".

But for Hubert Aiwanger there is a drop of bitterness.

The FDP must fear.

Munich – Nine months before the Bavarian election there is a new wave of polls: According to the current status, a Sunday question from the Insa institute also sees a government majority for Markus Söders CSU and the Free Voters (FW).

However, there is a drop of bitterness for Hubert Aiwanger's party.

compared to the last Insa survey from October by one point to 40 percent.

The FW stagnate but at 9 percent.

This puts them only in fifth place in the voters' favour, despite the relatively stable government majority.

The Greens (19 percent), the SPD and the AfD (both 10 percent) are further ahead.

However, the Greens had to accept a minus of one percentage point.

The SPD rated the new survey on Friday as a glimmer of hope on the horizon.

In the recently published “Bavaria Trend” for the state election, the Social Democrats were still in single digits.

However, they have enough problems of their own anyway: After a scandal surrounding Secretary General Arif Tasdelen, they have now introduced a new campaign manager.

The FDP also has concerns.

According to Insa, the Liberals around top candidate Martin Hagen would receive 5 percent if there were state elections on Sunday.

They balance exactly on the five percent hurdle.

The FDP has had to leave the Maximilianeum more often: from 1994 to 2008 they were not part of the state parliament in Munich, and also from 2013 to 2018.

Bayern election 2023: CSU joy at a “modest” level – “wasn’t a dream value before”

The CSU in particular should be satisfied – the 40 percent mark is a success for the party.

Söder himself had recently dampened hopes of an absolute majority in an interview with the Munich Merkur.

“The CSU can choose its coalition partner.

There can be no government without and against the CSU," said Insa boss Hermann Binkert of the picture.

However, the CSU has already ruled out an alliance with the Greens.

But Binkert emphasized: “However, 40 percent used to not be a dream value for the CSU.

One has become more humble.”

The Bayern trend published on Wednesday by infratest dimap on behalf of Bayerischer Rundfunk also resulted in a majority for the current governing parties.

In any case, CSU General Secretary Martin Huber now sees his party “on the rise”, as he

A new Bavarian state parliament will be elected on October 8th.

According to its own statements, the Insa institute surveyed a total of 2,000 citizens online

for the current survey by
