The soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza of Milan carried out a preventive seizure of 439 thousand euros against four suspects, all residing in the province of Taranto, who, with various accounts, pretended to sell Pokemon collection cards online, pocketing the money and without never deliver them, thus exposing the company that owns the platform to users.
It was eBay, an online trading platform, that reported the alleged scam, carried out between 2021 and the past months by the four suspects, on presales for Pokemon collection cards to the Guardia di Finanza.
The emergency seizure ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office for almost half a million euros was validated by the investigating judge of Milan Giulio Fanales, at the request of the prosecutor Michela Bordieri.
