From the point of view of the Bund Naturschutz (BN), the city has not covered itself in glory when it comes to saving energy.
Member Hans-Jürgen Gulder expressed strong criticism of the operation of the Christmas lights at the annual meeting
Germering – Hans-Jürgen Gulder didn't mince his words at the general meeting of the BN in the town hall: “The town is so lazy.
Mayors and city architects are doing too little,” he said quite clearly.
What he meant specifically was that the BN's request to reduce the Christmas lights by half had not been taken into account.
Gulder went on to say that it was not even possible to bring about a shutdown from a certain time.
Information from the city that LED lighting had been used, he countered: "That was decided years ago." Here, an attempt is being made to cleanse oneself.
From this, Gulder, ex-environmental advisory board and former head of the office for food, agriculture and forestry in the district, concluded: "The city is still muddling along." The city only becomes active where subsidies are paid out.
As an example, Gulder cited bicycle lanes.
"It creates a mood for me with too much peace, joy and pancakes."
toad migration
The criticism of the authorities in terms of toad migration was a little quieter.
According to BN local chairwoman Annette Kotzur, 91 animals were rescued in the Gautinger Straße area last year, with a total of over 160.
Kotzur emphasized the large participation of members.
There were 15 participants on each of the two evenings.
However, there was no protective fence.
Kotzur also complained that the 50 km/h speed limit that applied during the toad migration period was too high.
"They simply didn't allow us any more," complained Annette Kotzur.
Efforts will be made to reach 30 kilometers per hour this year.
In any case, the measure relating to the toad migration has been registered with the lower nature conservation authority in the Fürstenfeldbruck district office.
annual balance sheet
Overall, at the meeting, where no elections were scheduled, people were satisfied with the networking.
Contact is particularly good with the groups “Omas for future” and “Bündnis Zukunft”.
(
By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular
FFB newsletter.)
The local group itself scores with around 700 members.
The cash position as of December 2022 was only a small minus in the three-digit range compared to the end of 2021.
They are also satisfied with the participation in the children's group.
According to Stefanie Pockrandt-Gauderer, an average of 20 girls and boys between the ages of six and 13 take part in the monthly meetings at Lake Germeringer.
The BN local group still does not want to collect any mandatory contributions for the children's group.

plans
The meeting discussed following an example set by the local group from Waldkraiburg (Mühldorf district).
Last year, she checked gardens to see how natural they were.
Only a third of the private gardens were halfway through as natural.
In Germering, the BN wants to take other clubs on board, such as the Eugenheimer or for horticulture.
It was decided to contact Waldkraiburg to exchange experiences.
