The culture of lies - voila! news

The "end justifies the means" approach is shared by senior prosecutors and the police and many journalists and to achieve it - the truth can be twisted

Where does the flood of lies that flood us every day in the media come from?

After all, they are not compulsive liars, those who are unable not to include a lie in every set of sentences.

Nor are we talking about those who are not aware of the very existence of a dividing line between truth and lies, even if most of them must have adopted the postmodern philosophical approach, according to which truth is "relative".

After all, they know very well that in reality (as opposed to philosophy), a fact is a fact is a fact: either you bought milk at the grocery store today or you didn't.

Nor can it be blamed that such a large number of our writings and interpretations are superficial.

This can perhaps explain the many small distortions that frequently appear in their reports, but not necessarily the large, prominent and important distortions.

In the latter, the facts are probably checked by at least some of the journalists.

What else?

When they are not to their liking, they are ignored or creatively renovated.

The "negligence", if it exists, is tendentious.

As a value, the truth must guide many of them in their private lives, but not in their professional lives - at least not for a significant part of them.

Because with them, above the truth stand political and social ideas, the promotion of which is the reason why they became journalists.

What, to be in the media just to report facts?

You made them laugh.

No!

Their life's mission is much higher than that.

It's just a shame that the question, what exactly is the validity and value of those ideas they promote when they are based on lies, does not occur to them.

"The end justifies the means" grew the journalistic lie industry.

"The end justifies the means", which is the growth engine of the journalistic lie industry, is, as we are learning these days, also deep in the souls of people in the prosecutor's office and the police.

The professional conduct of certain senior officials in them imitates that of journalists.

If in order to achieve a lofty goal - which for those attorneys and police investigators, it turns out, is not simply to uncover crimes (who cares anyway?) but to bring about a radical and welcome change in the Israeli public - the use of a lie is required, then please, let the lie rise and come.

Like their friends in the media, they know how important the truth is to us, the public, and therefore they try to convince us (usually through these friends of theirs) that it guides them as well.

Allow us to doubt your words.

Even if you are too young or too ignorant to know about the show trials in Moscow, not to mention countless examples from recent and distant history, it can be assumed that you still fully understand the dubious value, to say the least, of testimony given under torture of body and mind and ass threats.

And you also know how we must treat the key testimony in the news, when it was taken from the interrogated during those hours for which there is no record, and during which he became a state witness (oh, it was not recorded because there was no electricity to run the recording device... yes, we understand).

But like water, the truth somehow eventually finds its way out.

And nowadays, it happens first and foremost through the Internet.

This was well understood by the leftists in America, when before the last presidential election they acted to block the Internet from true reports about Hunter Biden's laptop, because they realized how destructive the things on it would be to their candidate and to them.

But the truth, what to do, is stubborn, and now, two years later, the contents of the "problematic" laptop, and the evidence of the attempts to hide them, are being distributed everywhere.

Even here, the truth finds its way out, either through the Internet or through those few media outlets that broadcast it.

But we must pay attention to what the media also knows: that although it does not have the same grip on us as in the past, it still has a lot of power.

The culture of lies, deeply fixed in her consciousness, is alive and well and does its work every day.
