Boys aged 15 and 17 were arrested tonight (Friday) after a weapon was found in their possession.
This morning the police will ask to extend their detention at the Haifa Magistrate's Court.
The incident began when the boys aroused the suspicion of the Carmel Castle police officers who noticed them during a routine patrol in the city.
The police arrested the two for examination, and during a search of the premises they found a Beretta pistol, a matching cartridge with bullets and a substance suspected to be a cannabis-type drug for self-consumption.
