This Wednesday, General Valéri Guerassimov, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces since 2012, was appointed head of what is still, officially, a "special military operation".
He thus replaces Sergei Surovikin, who becomes one of his three assistants alongside Oleg Salioukov and Alexei Kim.
