Two 16-year-olds from Murnauer extorted cash from a peer and seriously injured him.

The Garmisch-Partenkirchen criminal police are looking for witnesses to the incident that occurred in the Kurpark.

Murnau

– A case of severe extortion and bodily harm has kept the Murnau police and the Garmisch-Partenkirchen criminal police, which is leading the investigation in this case, on their toes in the past few days.

Two 16-year-olds who live in Murnau and who, according to the police, have repeatedly attracted attention, had extorted money from their victim, a peer, and seriously injured them.

The two urgent suspects are now in custody.

Since they may be responsible for other acts, the Kripo is now looking for witnesses and victims.

The crime had already occurred on January 6, but the press office of the Rosenheim police headquarters only made the case known to the public on Friday afternoon.

On Friday a week ago, the two alleged perpetrators had lured their victim into the Murnau Kurpark under a pretext.

The two forced it to hand over a double-digit amount of cash under threats of beatings.

But that's not all: one of the two suspects hit the teenager so hard that he suffered a fracture in his face and had to be hospitalized for several days.

After the victim continued to be pressured by the suspects by telephone, the 16-year-old finally filed a complaint with the police.

Appropriately known

The Munich II public prosecutor's office handed over the investigation to the specialist commissioner responsible for robbery and extortion offenses at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen criminal police station.

In the course of the criminal investigation, the two 16-year-old youths were arrested by officers from the Murnau Police Station on suspicion of extortion.

According to inspection manager Joachim Loy, the two alleged perpetrators are a German and a young person with a migration background, both of whom are “relevantly known”.

One should still be a student, the other unemployed.

They were brought before an investigating judge to clarify the question of detention.

He issued an arrest warrant for the two, who were then taken to a prison.

In the course of searches, the police officers found various pieces of evidence that suggest that the suspects could also be responsible for other crimes of extortion.

In addition, the investigators of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Criminal Police Office are also looking for witnesses to the incident in the Kurpark.

You are therefore addressing the population with the following questions:

Who observed four young people on Friday, January 6, between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Kurpark in Murnau near the so-called “glass exit” into the underground car park, who noticed suspicious people during this period?

On Friday, January 6, between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., who noticed two young people on the footpath below the gas station, between Ostermannweg and Bundesstraße 2?

Who owns the items visible in the photos, or who can provide information on the rightful owner of the items?

Who else can provide information that could help to clarify the fact?

Contact

Witnesses should contact the Garmisch-Partenkirchen criminal police station on 08821/9170 or any other police station.
