"Hartz and warm" star with gambling addiction confession - "5,000 euros lost in one night"

In the social documentary on RTLZWEI he talks about his gambling addiction - and reveals how much money he has lost:

The working-class district around Dieselstraße in Krefeld has now become a problem area.

Around 230,000 people live in the “Velvet and Silk City” – 15,000 of them are dependent on social benefits.

Anna and her roommate Manuel also give an insight into their colorful everyday life in the social documentary "Hartz und Herzen".

The two were a couple for three years – they have remained friends since the breakup.

As different as the "Hartz und cordial" participants and their problems may be: They all have to struggle with financial worries.

Money problems are no strangers to Anna and Manuel either.

In the new episode "Hartz and cordially - Return to Krefeld (3)" Manuel makes a shocking confession!

Before Manuel moved to Anna in Krefeld, he often gambled for money – and became addicted.

The "Hartz und Herzen" participant is currently only playing virtually on the Playstation - but there were other times too!

The Krefeld player lost a lot of money in the casino: "Sometimes I had a lucky streak and won - sometimes I was unlucky, I lost 4,000/5,000 euros in one night," reveals Manuel in the social documentary.

Gambling addiction confession on "Hartz und Herzen" – Manuel has gambled away over 200,000 euros

The change of scenery has helped Manuel out of his gambling addiction: "Since I left my old home country, I no longer go to casinos.

I used to only go when my boys said: Come on, let's sit in the arcade for a few hours!" He spent whole days in the casino and gambled away "all in all, more than 250,000 euros".

According to his own statements, the 35-year-old has not incurred any debts, but he has put a large part of his salary from his previous work in the vending machines.

"I know I'm away from it, which I think is a good thing.

I really gambled away a lot back then – I won a few times, but I also lost,” Manuel continued on the RTLZWEI show.

In the social documentary, the 35-year-old also reveals his highest win: "The highest I won on six machines in one evening was 15,000 euros - and that also flowed back into the machines during the night".

Anna is proud of Manuel that he managed to get away from the machines.

"I didn't think he could do it so well!" admits Anna on the popular TV show.

A few streets away, a young family is currently struggling with other problems: "Hartz und cordial" participants Melanie and Christian make a discovery in the bathroom that makes them wrestle with tears.
