3 Pakistani policemen were killed today in an attack by terrorists on a police station in the northwestern province of Peshawar.
Sputnik quoted a statement issued by the Peshawar police on Twitter as saying: “Terrorists attacked the police station in the Sarband district of the Khyber tribal region, where police officers confronted them, and an exchange of fire took place, killing an officer and two policemen.”
The statement indicated that the attack "was coordinated from multiple directions, as the terrorists used multiple weapons, threw hand grenades, and resorted to using sniper fire and automatic rifles."
The "Taliban Pakistan" movement claimed responsibility for the attack, while the security forces launched a search operation in Sarband and neighboring areas in the aftermath of the attack to arrest the perpetrators of the attack.
