A young nurse working at the Di Venere hospital in Bari was attacked yesterday by a patient who threw a computer mouse in her face, kicked, chased and threatened her, until the nurse found refuge in a locker room.
The ASL of Bari communicates it, underlining that the patient had arrived with "a trivial wound to the finger" and she attacked the nurse only because she explained to her "that the more serious red codes take precedence over the others".
The nurse reported an excoriated blunt trauma of the lower limbs for a prognosis of 7 days.
For the director general of the ASL, Antonio Sanguedolce, it is an "unacceptable violence".
Waiting to receive the detailed report from the Di Venere emergency room - explains the ASL - from the first testimonies collected on the spot it emerged that the cause of the attack was the impatience of the woman who arrived at the triage with a wound to her finger and for this taken over as a green code.

The woman - continues the ASL - took advantage of the absence of the security guard engaged at that moment in another department and was forcibly taken out of the triage of the emergency room, where she continued to threaten the
nurse and other medics, creating panic and chaos throughout the ward.
