Today, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Lattakia arrested a network that promotes counterfeit foreign currency, in addition to drug abuse and promotion.
The Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement that the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Lattakia, as a result of continuous follow-up and search for perpetrators of drug abuse and promotion crimes and dealing in non-Syrian pounds, was able to arrest a network consisting of 7 people, who are (Mustafa. A), (Abdul-Karim. H) and ( Diala Kh), (Muhammad pbuh), (Muhammad pbuh), (Omaima Kh), and (Muhammad S).
The ministry added: It was seized in the possession of the arrested an amount of 6 thousand US dollars forged, books and notebooks related to witchcraft and sorcery and Musa Kabbas.
The ministry indicated that, by interrogating them, the person called (Muhammad M.) confessed to practicing witchcraft, sorcery, decoding magic and exploiting people, in addition to exchanging forged foreign currency. The others also admitted to using and promoting narcotic cannabis and pills, and exchanging counterfeit dollars in association with hidden persons.
The ministry indicated that the necessary measures have been taken against them, and that investigations are still ongoing, and the search is continuing to arrest all those involved.
