A 35-year-old woman,
Martina Scialdone,
a Roman lawyer, was killed last night in the capital by her ex-partner after an argument.
The man arrested by the police, a 61-year-old Roman, is a security guard.
The episode took place yesterday evening in a restaurant in via Amelia, in the Appio Latino district.
The man, who initially asked for a clarification with the woman in an attempt to reconcile, had reached the room where the young woman was having dinner with her brother, when the quarrel broke out and they left the room: here the feminicide took place.
The woman died shortly after the rescuers, who arrived promptly on the spot and alerted through 112. Many people arrived on the street after the episode, in addition to those present in the club.
The man fled immediately afterwards, but was then reached by police cars and arrested in Fidene, in the northern suburb of the capital.
