At least one person was killed and six others were wounded in two explosions targeting Somali security forces in the Hiran region in the center of the country today.
The Reuters news agency quoted eyewitnesses as saying: One person was killed and at least six others were wounded, as a result of a car bomb targeting a checkpoint belonging to the Somali security forces in the region.
A similar attack took place in the region in conjunction with the first bombing, but it did not result in injuries, as government forces fired at a second car bomb in an attempt to stop the attackers.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the bombings.
