Sachsenkam: The fire brigade is preparing for the 150th anniversary next year

The Sachsenkam fire brigade went out on 65 missions last year.

"Every Sachsenkamer should rate this service very highly," emphasized Mayor Andreas Rammler at the well-attended general assembly in the Gasthaus Neuwirt, the importance of the weir, which voluntarily fulfills a municipal duty.
"I'm proud and grateful for such good cooperation and commitment even under difficult conditions," said Rammler to the applause of those present.
The Sachsenkamer Wehr has 238 members.
65 of them are on active duty.
As the report by the board of directors, Manfred Fedrizzi, shows, club life, which was idle during the corona pandemic, is experiencing a revival.
A club excursion is planned for the beginning of May, during which the construction site of the Brenner base tunnel or, alternatively, the fire brigade museum in Waldkraiburg should be visited.
At the end of April is the anniversary when a large group photo is to be taken, and in July the extinguishing party and the village festival are on the agenda.
Device house is to be prepared for the anniversary
Fedrizzi urgently campaigned for the anniversaries to be more active again.
The Sachsenkamer Wehr itself will be celebrating its 150th anniversary next year.
In addition, the firefighters want to bring the old equipment house into shape.
A festival committee is to be set up to organize the festivities.
The festival itself is to take place in 2024 in the Vereinsstadel, which will hopefully be completed by then.
The reason for the delay was rescheduling in the area of the recycling center.
The active firefighters never got bored in the year under review.
According to commander Josef Baumgartner, they were called out on five fire missions, three times the fire alarm system triggered an alarm, and technical assistance had to be provided 13 times.
Together with traffic safety and 37 First Responder deployments, a total of 65 deployments with 322 hours were recorded.
There was also further training, training and exercises, including a lay exercise that was very well received.
This exercise, which is intended for all citizens to be able to react correctly in the event of fire in the home, is to be carried out every year in the future.
Cooperation with the Reichersbeuern fire brigade is “forward-looking”
Some firefighters put their skills to the test in a performance test.
An examination aimed at technical assistance (THL) and actually not one of the most specific areas of responsibility of the Sachsenkamer Wehr is also on the program.
This is made possible by the cooperation with the Reichersbeuern volunteer fire brigade, a cooperation that was expressly praised by district fire inspector Wolfgang Stahl and described as forward-looking.
When it comes to purchases, a portable fire pump is on the wish list, in order to be prepared in the event of a failure of the outdated equipment.
A defibrillator is also necessary after the existing one had to be replaced due to a defect.
To finance the device, which costs around 2,500 euros, 350 euros have already been saved from the proceeds of a mulled wine stand.
