Rain is falling today (Saturday) at times in the north of the country and in the center, and it is accompanied by thunderstorms.
There is a fear of flooding in the northern coastal plain.
In the south the sky was cloudy - and the Hermon was covered in white, with snow on both levels.
The site said that about ten centimeters of snow had piled up in the higher part, where a temperature of minus 2 degrees was recorded.
At the lower level the temperatures reached 0, and a thin layer of snow piled up.
"The snow is expected to continue and fall intermittently, today and tomorrow," it was reported.
Despite the rainy weather, about 30 thousand people went for a walk in the nature reserves and national parks.
Among the sites visited by many travelers were Masada National Park, Yarkon Tel-Afak National Park, Qumran and Ein Gedi Nature Reserve.

Tomorrow the weather will be similar, and it will rain in Merz Haaretz.
It will be partly cloudy in the rest of the country.
On Monday it may rain locally in most parts of the country.
There is a slight fear of flooding in the eastern and southern streams.
