Today (15th) around 2:00 a.m., opposite No. 23 Castle Peak Road, Sham Shui Po, a seven-passenger car crashed into a police car parked on the site. The right rear mirror of the police car was damaged. Stopped the car for investigation and drove away from the scene quickly. The police immediately started to chase after seeing the situation and notified the police radio station to ask for reinforcements. During the period, when the seven-person car turned into Qinzhou Street, it was suspected that it hit another four-wheel drive vehicle on the side of the road, and was hit by the right car of the four-wheel drive vehicle. The tail of the car was damaged, and the seven-person car was lost during the pursuit. Later, when the police assault vehicle patrolled to the opposite of Sun Fai Building, No. 93-113 Tai Po Road, Sham Shui Po, they found the seven-person car involved in the case parked on the side of the road. There was no one in the car at the time. However, the police intercepted 4 men and 3 women nearby. After investigation, they were suspected to be related to the case, and found that the suspected male driver smelled of alcohol. The police then conducted an alcohol breath test on the 28-year-old male driver on the spot. 76 micrograms exceeded the limit by more than 3 times and failed the alcohol breath test.
The male driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, drunk driving, failure to stop after the accident, and failure to report the accident as soon as possible. He is currently being detained for investigation.
