Whoever is passing through Barrancas de Belgrano, more precisely around the train station that bears the name of the neighborhood, will be surprised to see the
new bars and restaurants that have opened in recent months to bring life (day and night) to this area .
In total
there are five gastronomic ventures that have already opened under the Miter train tracks
and in March at least another 40 more will open in a work that reaches Olazábal street.
This new pole is part of the Vía Viva project, which in total is four kilometers long -from Monroe Avenue to Dorrego Avenue in Palermo- won from the City by erecting nine barriers.
The area of the Belgrano C station
in particular began to have a lot of nightlife since the emergence of the food businesses on the go (the little windows) of the so-called Pasaje Echeverría but now
it is beginning to establish a firm position with large and medium-sized bars and restaurants that aim to a young audience.

It is one of the largest and most striking premises
.
This
cult burger joint
that was already operating in Palermo, Recoleta and Miami!
disembarked in September 2022
at the corner of Sucre and Virrey Vértiz and
showed that it also has a lot of convening power in Belgrano.
Its breads with the brand's initials (TFTS) are a hallmark.
Also the abundance of cheddar cheese on their burgers (they have over 30 different options).
There are sandwiches, salads and finger foods.
They also
have a burger shop
where they sell everything from imported sauces to pickles and breads.

This chain that imports and roasts its own coffee was also installed
under the Miter train tracks overlooking the Barrancas
.
The place is easily distinguished by its orange and black façade.
It has a bar and about ten tables on the sidewalk.
They offer more than a dozen different types of coffee
(Americano, lungo, macchiato, cortado) that can be consumed in combo with croissants, croissants, toast or pudding.
There are also other pastry options such as carrot cake, brownies and cheese scones.

Temper

At the corner of Virrey Vertiz and Echeverría streets is one of the branches of this
chain of craft breweries that is very popular with the twenty-something public after 7:00
p.m.
The place is spacious and there are also tables on the sidewalk that fill up and bring a lot of life to the area.
In addition to its own brewed beers, it has "guest" varieties and its own gin brand,
the award-winning Bosque.
To eat there are the traditional options of this type of proposal: from hamburgers and empanadas to pizzas and a variety of potatoes with cheddar.

On the corner across from Temple, this bar also attracts many young people under 30 who are looking for
more than craft beers
.
They also have
draft wine, classic and signature cocktails, and mocktails
(non-alcoholic drinks).
In addition to the traditional alternatives to eat (pizzas, cold cuts, assorted potatoes, hamburgers, empanadas and salads) they have
some dishes such as milanesas to share between two people, tortillas and even chorizo steak
.
As it is open all day, there are also breakfast and snack options.

Krill

In front of the windows of the so-called Echeverría passage is
the new gastronomic proposal that up to now is best in tune with the identity of Chinatown.
This is the latest
venture by chef Iwao Komiyama
, who is not only a forerunner of sushi in Argentina but is also a popular face for his programs on the El Gourmet signal.
Iwao
was inspired by the concept of Japanese bars
where besides drinking you eat very well and landed with much more than sushi to savor while enjoying classic and signature drinks at the colorful bar or at some of the tables with high benches located in the sidewalk.
The creator of the cocktail bar is the well-known bartender Fede Cuco
Krill's kitchen.
Ceviches and very fresh tiraditos
,
Poke bowls
and delicious
grilled brochettes
of tenderloin, chicken, salmon, prawns or vegetables are part of the Iwao proposal in this "new Chinatown".
A relaxed and informal space to eat deliciously and get in tune with the young vibe of the area.

The bars and restaurants near Chinatown that open in March
In the same block as the station, next to Krill, the
plant-based (vegan) burger restaurant Joy
will open .
Its neighbor will be
Ultramarino, a seafood restaurant
owned by the same owner as Picarón in Chacarita.
Also on top of Echeverría will be Yatai, a Southeast Asian cuisine
run by the owners of the prolific Fabric Sushi chain.
And a few meters away,
on Juramento and Arribeños
-in front of the Chinatown arch-,
the first Diego Maradona tribute restaurant will be inaugurated (10),
which will have 265 square meters and will offer grill, pizza and pasta.
Businessmen Francisco García Moritán and Alejandro Candioti, owners of Amazonia, Sons of Ceviche and Nozomi, are behind this project.
(10), the Maradona tribute restaurant that opens in March under the Miter train tracks.
But
the largest number of openings will be under the tracks that are crossing Juramento up to Olazábal street.
Along these two blocks, another 35 gastronomic establishments of different sizes that have already been awarded to different brands will open.
Some of them are
the Vietnamese restaurant Cang Tin, Fubao -specialized
in dumplings-
and the also Asian Koko Bao Bar.
And, further on, in the block that goes from Olazabal to Blanco Encalada, a large market will be built inspired by international models such as Madrid's San Miguel, which promises to definitively renew the neighborhood's gastronomic consumption circuits.
