Martina Scialdone, a 35-year-old lawyer, knew those quarrels of hers well because there were many times in which she had defended women abused by their husbands.
But perhaps never before Friday night would she have thought that she, like them, was in such danger.
The victim of the latest episode of feminicide is a young lawyer who dealt with separation and divorces, who lost her life at the hands of a man she no longer loved, Costantino Bonaiuti, a 61-year-old trade unionist: the man after the homicide attempted to escape but was arrested shortly after by the Police.
The episode happened around 10.30 pm in the Appio Latino district, in via Amelia, at the 'Brado' restaurant
, where Martina was having dinner with her brother a few minutes earlier.
The nightmare materialized when Costy joined her (that was how the killer called himself) trying to put an end to yet another discussion that had made her decide to give up that situation permanently.
