Ticket sale at the Tölzer Christkindlmarkt: Greilinger wins a car

35,000 lots were sold at the Tölz Christmas market.

The prizes were recently drawn.

Now the main winner accepted his car.

Bad Tölz

- "It was definitely a pleasant surprise and a very nice Christmas present," said Greilinger Peter Gmainer from the moment he received the call on Christmas Eve with the news that he was the main winner of the Tölz Advent calendar.

From then on he could look forward to a brand new white Toyota Aygo X worth around 16,000 euros.

The car has now been handed over to the Toyota dealer Hubert Auer in Tölz.

Main winner had only bought five tickets

Gmainer and his partner Michelina Perillo only bought five tickets for the raffle at the Christmas market.

A total of around 35,000 of the original 40,000 lots were sold, as Camilla Plöckl, Chairwoman of the Tölzer Arbeiterwohlfahrt (AWO), explained.

The AWO organizes the raffle.

"A very good result," confirmed Daniela Klaar, deputy store manager from the Tölzer Tourist Info.

The net proceeds of the campaign will be divided among the charitable organizations and associations that have made their members available to sell tickets.

Even if Gmainer would "like" his prize, he will pass on the vehicle because he currently has no need for it.

In any case, he wants to thank the AWO with a generous donation.
