An unknown drove up at dusk near the Anglberger Weiher at the old water, unloaded something from the trunk - and threw it into the water.

A hunter saw this.

Anglberg

– A hunter observed something strange from his high seat last Monday near the Anglberg pond through binoculars.

Between 4.30 p.m. and 4.45 p.m. a car drives up to the backwater near the pond.

A person gets out, opens the trunk, pulls out something and throws it into the water.

The hunter sets off immediately, climbs down from the high seat – but by the time he has covered the 300 meters to the water, the stranger has already got back into the car and disappeared into the twilight.

The hunter then informs his colleague Lorenz Hemmer, who is responsible for the Anglberg district and who is on site a short time later.

It is a blue garbage bag that has been disposed of there.

"The sack, which the stranger apparently wanted to sink into the water, got stuck on the embankment, we were able to pull it out from Zolling with the help of a building yard worker," says Hemmer.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

Before the two men open the plastic bag, they call the police.

The official's information: If no license plate number was noted, the car brand cannot be described in more detail and there are no documents in the bag that would allow conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the stranger, it makes no sense to file a complaint, like Hemmer told.

That means: The two finders should open the sack, if there is nothing "spectacular" in it, they should simply dispose of the contents.

“Honestly, we opened the sack with very mixed feelings.

We imagined the worst things that could be in there,” says Lorenz Hemmer.

Young dogs, cats or "even more cruel things" that someone wanted to dispose of unseen in the water at dusk.

When the fellow hunters finally see the contents, they are almost relieved about what they find there.

"It was mackerel - definitely ten kilos or more," reports Hemmer.

His guess: "Maybe the freezer in which he had frozen the fish broke." The construction worker who got the bag out of the water finally disposed of the disgusting find.

But because Lorenz Hemmer hopes that something like this won't catch on, he went public with it.

And who knows?

Maybe someone saw something and can tell the police about the matter.
