Video released: Drivers hit air-conditioning stickers and then crash through the barrier

In a street blockade by climate activists in Berlin, two drivers lost their nerve.

She is expecting a charge of attempted dangerous bodily harm.

Berlin – While the climate activists of the last generation have found their regular profession with road blocking, the reactions to the form of protest are becoming increasingly drastic.

In Vienna, a man recently kicked members of the activist collective and dragged them off a zebra crossing.

In another recent incident in Berlin, protesters didn't bother to brake or get out - and drove their vehicles carelessly through the line of the human blockade.

There are currently various spectacular actions by climate activists to follow, be it the occupation of the village of Lützerath using specially dug tunnels, the dismantling of traffic signs on the motorway or the regular road blockades.

However, there are often violent verbal and physical riots against those involved in the latter form of protest.

"You should perish," a woman recently shouted at the blockers and threatened them with the ambulance.

However, two motorists in Berlin went one step further and did not just make a threat.

Previously, on Thursday morning, "several people blocked the A103 on Sachsendamm" at the Schöneberg motorway junction, the Berlin police reported on Twitter.

Even before the officers arrived, there was a risky incident in which the protesters "were harassed, coerced & hit by cars".

On the same occasion, the last generation posted a video on Twitter documenting the act.

The associated tweet was viewed almost a million times and shared by over 600 people.

In this you can see how almost ten people, some wearing safety vests, are blocking the street.

Shortly thereafter, the first car, honking its horn, breaks through the demonstrators and pushes them in front of it with the bonnet.

Following the driver, another car comes shortly after.

The activists are emphatically opposed to this car.

But the driver consistently kept his foot on the gas pedal and was able to push his way through the crowd, following the example of the man in front.

Details are difficult to see in the shaky recording.

However, these and other video recordings are proof enough for the Berlin police - "two reports of attempted dangerous bodily harm" are the consequence for the drivers.

Climate protection is not cheap, and protests also cost money.

The last generation obtains the money for such actions mainly from donations.

In addition to many private donors, their main sponsor is a US organization called the "Climate Emergency Fund".

The collective can apparently even pay salaries to its activists.
