Weather warnings for Bavaria: Storm and continuous rain – "Cold front is spreading to the Free State"

The German weather service issued several warnings for Bavaria: gusts of wind and continuous rain threatened at the start of the weekend.
Update from January 13,
6:25 a.m .: The start of Friday will be uncomfortable, as a look at the warning map from the German Weather Service shows.
The DWD has issued an official warning of gusts of wind for southern Bavaria.
The warning is valid between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. or 8 p.m.

Storm gusts, gusts of wind and constant rain: the weather in Bavaria
Storm gusts also threaten in the east of Bavaria (including in the districts of Cham and Freyung-Grafenau) and in the north (for example in Bad Kissingen).
An official warning of continuous rain applies until 12 p.m. in the Kronach and Tirschenreuth districts, among others.
In the rest of Bavaria, the DWD warns of gusts of wind, including in Munich: "Gusts of wind are occurring at speeds of up to 60 km/h (17 m/s, 33 kn, Bft 7) from the south-west.
Storm gusts of up to 70 km/h (20 m/s, 38 kn, Bft 8) must be expected in the vicinity of showers.”

First report from January 12
: Munich – The start of January and the year 2023 in Bavaria was dominated by mild temperatures and a few rainy days.
Hardly any sign of winter so far, not even in the mountains does it want to be nice and white.
This recently led to a high risk of avalanches and overcrowded ski slopes where the descent was at least halfway possible.
In the second half of January, a change in the weather is of course still possible - at least towards the weekend it will be more uncomfortable than comfortable in Bavaria.

Weather warning in Bavaria: gusts of wind and continuous rain threaten
The German Weather Service (DWD) is currently warning for almost all of Bavaria.
In large parts, the weather warning level one applies – with the exception of the south-east, gusts of wind can be expected in the flatter areas, which can reach speeds of around 50 and 60 kilometers per hour.
For northern Bavaria, the DWD issues an official level two warning – there is a risk of continuous rain.
And in the south, from an altitude of 1,500 meters, there is even a threat of gusts of wind with speeds of around 80 kilometers per hour.

In the warning situation report of Thursday, January 12th, the DWD also says: "On Friday a cold front will spread to the Free State from the north-west." It brings with it the cold air, the stormy winds and the constant rain.
Not a pleasant start to the weekend.
Winter seems to be coming back as early as Monday and is supposed to cause a snow alarm and possible chaos in the south-west.
Continuous rain until Friday: gloomy DWD forecast for the weekend start
The uncomfortable weather conditions will start on Thursday.
The gusts of wind in the lower elevations and the gusts of wind in the higher elevations will continue until Friday afternoon, January 13th.

Heavy rain is also expected until Friday evening.
With regard to the continuous rain, the DWD states that “from this morning to Friday noon locally in congested areas in the northern low mountain ranges and the Bavarian Forest” rain amounts of around 30 liters per square meter in 24 hours are possible.
