ZDF is deleting TV garden with Andrea Kiewel twice from the TV program

Advance sales for the ZDF television garden will start soon.

But on two Sundays, fans have to do without the popular show with Andrea Kiewel.

What's behind it?

Mainz – The ZDF television garden is one of the most popular programs on German TV.

Every summer, the show moderated by Andrea Kiewel (57) flickers on home screens for weeks every Sunday.

And numerous dates have also been announced for 2023.

Advance sales for this year's live shows start on March 1st at 10 a.m.

After the corona pandemic, some normality should return to the ZDF television garden.

In recent years, the ZDF program has largely had to do without an audience.

Now the ZDF is finally inviting you back to the Lerchenberg in Mainz.

Andrea Kiewel will again lead through the ZDF television garden in 19 issues.

This year, too, each edition will have a specific motto.

The mottos have not yet been announced.

But there is still plenty of time before the first broadcast.

It starts on May 7th and the season ends on September 24th, 2023.

Andrea Kiewel has been the face of the ZDF television garden for almost 22 years.

With a break!

From 2000 to 2007, Andrea Kiewel was the presenter at the ZDF television garden for the first time.

Then she had to take a forced break.

In December 2007, allegations were made that "Kiwi" had misused ZDF to run paid surreptitious advertising for "Weight Watchers".

When Andrea Kiewel admitted to having an advertising deal with the diet program, ZDF canceled its contract with the presenter.

However, the always cheerful TV personality has been back since 2009.

Is that the reason for the ZDF television garden failure?

ZDF does not give reasons for the failure.

It would be obvious, however, that major sporting events take place on these days.

In the past year, too, the television garden occasionally had to give way when, for example, the European Championships or the finals were broadcast on TV.

If you take a look at this year's sports calendar, you will see that there are important sports events this year as well.

In August, for example, the women's soccer World Cup is held.

And the DFB Cup is also held in the same month.
