The University of Regensburg is a recognized educational institution in the world heritage city.
However, it also regularly receives criticism for its architecture.

, the university has a rating of 3.7 out of a possible 5 stars, and most of the reviews on Google are consistently positive.
Only one thing stands out: the appearance of the university is often criticized.
Many users mock the architecture.

"Wow, this is the ugliest university I've ever seen," wrote one user in Google Reviews.
The appearance of the university is more reminiscent of a bunker, comments a local guide.
According to another user, there is a nice atmosphere, especially in summer - but in winter the university would be a suitable location for a horror film.
"Rightly one of the ugliest universities" and "very dilapidated university", write other users.
"An architectural masterpiece of modern times," writes one sarcastically.
He compares the building to a prison.
"Really hats off to the free spirit who noticed that a bunker offers the ideal learning environment!" In the end, however, he limits directly and writes that the university is really good.

In addition to the many mocking comments about the appearance of the University of Regensburg, there are also some who often mention the dilapidation of the building, but generally describe the university as beautiful.
All in all, the reviews on Google about the University of Regensburg are almost entirely positive, apart from the mocking reviews.
A user writes: "I've been studying here for years and even if the architecture isn't that nice, it's still a great university.
I feel very comfortable as a student here.” Someone then comments: “The teaching is good and the lecturers are nice and competent.

All in all, the Regensburg students seem to have come to terms with the plain appearance of their university, which is in need of renovation and are happy about the otherwise good university in the World Heritage city in Bavaria.
