Dieter Bohlen is back at DSDS.

In the first episode of the 20th season, RTL made it clear how much they missed the pop titan.

The TV station threw him out last year.

Cologne – The anniversary season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” started on January 14th.

For 20 years, changing jurors have been looking for the greatest singing talent in Germany.

RTL not only celebrated 20 years of DSDS on Saturday evening, but also Dieter Bohlen's (68) return.

However, this seems hypocritical to many viewers.

After being kicked out by RTL: Dieter Bohlen returns to DSDS

Last year, Dieter Bohlen had to give his position as chief judge to Florian Silbereisen (41).

RTL wanted to make the show more family-friendly and promptly threw the pop titan out of the jury.

However, this had bitter consequences: the ratings plummeted and the headlines about the talent show got worse and worse.

For the 20th season, RTL is bringing the modern-talking star back to the jury.

However, how this is dealt with on the show does not suit many viewers.

The broadcaster claims: "Dieter, we had lost him!".

This immediately caused a sensation on Twitter: "Lost?

You sawed it off, something hypocritical," rages a user.

"You threw him out and realized that you can't do it without him.

It was more like that," reads another comment.

Dieter Bohlen's DSDS break

RTL threw Dieter Bohlen out of the jury in 2021 because they wanted to bring new wind to the coming season.

The format should be younger and more family-friendly.

Pop star Florian Silbereisen (41) has since followed in Dieter's footsteps.

Fans tear up RTL for Dieter Bohlen's DSDS comeback

Another Twitter user asks sarcastically: "How hypocritical do we want to show that we are happy to have Dieter Bohlen back?".

After many clips on Dieter Bohlen's DSDS comeback, a viewer titled the program: "The big Dieter B Show" and thus met with a lot of agreement among Twitter users.

Even if everything revolves around Dieter Bohlen's comeback at the start of the season, many viewers are happy to see the chief judge again: "Thank God Dieter is back on the jury.

At least I know someone now," writes one fan. Another even claims "DSDS is Dieter".

Dieter Bohlen was also very hurt by the expulsion, as he recently revealed in an interview: "RTL hurt me a lot," said the pop titan.

The pop titan always looked back wistfully at his time at DSDS and is now looking forward to the 20th season.
