"Tired, exhausted and broken": Florian Silbereisen is worried about Jürgen Drews

As a farewell, Jürgen Drews really lets it rip again and celebrates his career end with a big hit show.

Florian Silbereisen has now revealed that he has been worried about Jürgen Drew's health for a long time.

Munich – After more than 50 years on stage, countless chart successes and sold-out concerts, Jürgen Drews (77) is now officially retiring.

The pandemic was decisive for his decision, but also his state of health.

As Florian Silbereisen (41) now reveals, he has been worried about his friend and Schlager colleague for a long time.

"Since I'm at an age where others have long been retired, I also said to myself, at some point, dear Uncle Jürgen, it's good," said Jürgen Drews last summer at Florian Silbereisen's hit beach party.

One of the reasons for his decision to end his career is his health.

He will be on stage for the last time on January 14: Jürgen Drews ends his career.

He already felt in the summer of 2022 that he was no longer so resilient.

Because Jürgen Drews suffers from peripheral polyneuropathy, an incurable nervous disease that primarily restricts the mobility of the legs.

At "The Big Schlagerfest XXL" Florian Silbereisen experienced how much Jürgen Drews' illness really affects him.

In order to say goodbye to Jürgen Drews from the Schlager stage, Florian Silbereisen brings out the big guns.

Therefore, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, he will be presenting “The Big Hit by Jürgen Drews 2023”.

It starts at 8:15 p.m. on ARD and ORF 2. Of course, Flori and the “King of Mallorca” don’t celebrate alone.

Also there are: Andreas Gabalier, David Hasselhoff, Beatrice Egli, Andy Borg, Thomas Anders, Maite Kelly, Roland Kaiser, Melissa Naschenweng and many more.

However, there is no live celebration.

The farewell show for Jürgen Drews was pre-recorded.

"The long daily journeys are sometimes exhausting and there were days when Jürgen was just tired, exhausted and broken," reveals Florian Silbereisen in an interview with "express.de".

After the Schlagerfest.XXL tour, which lasted several weeks, Jürgen Drews had to cancel all upcoming concerts and regain his strength.

After more than 50 years on stage, Jürgen Drews has more than earned his pension, even if fans and fellow hits will certainly miss the "King of Mallorca".
