This weekend there were several burglaries in the Munich city area.

So far, however, none of the perpetrators have been arrested.

Munich – In the press release of Sunday, January 15, the Munich police reported several burglaries that took place between Thursday, January 12 and Saturday, January 14 in the city area.

Twice it got really dicey - in one case the police surrounded the house, in another the 80-year-old resident met the burglar.

The first burglary reported by the Munich police in their press release took place during the night from Thursday to Friday.

Between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., several unknown perpetrators were able to break into a shop in Hohenbrunn.

They broke down the back door and stole several hundred euros in cash from the office.

They were then able to flee the scene of the crime undetected.

The second burglary was a bit trickier.

On Friday, around 7:25 p.m., a resident in Zamdorf alerted the police.

She saw a suspicious person in the garden of the neighboring property and she knew that the residents of the house were not there at the moment.

She also heard suspicious noises.

More than ten Munich police patrols immediately drove to the location, surrounded the house and searched it.

However, they only found a broken window, and there was no trace of the perpetrator (Description: Male, wearing a hood).

Dangerous cases in Munich: Senior meets burglars

Another burglary happened in Munich on Saturday evening – this time a house in Pasing was the scene of the incident.

And it got very tricky: Relatives of an over 80-year-old alerted the police and reported that the elderly woman's house was being broken into.

The elderly lady even saw the burglar.

More than ten patrols immediately made their way to the house.

On site they found a broken patio door and a frightened pensioner.

According to her statement, she found the burglar in the living room – there he pushed her to the ground and then fled.

A search was immediately carried out for the perpetrator, and a police helicopter was also deployed.

However, officers could not find anyone.

Video recordings later revealed that there had been two perpetrators.

They are described by the police as follows:

  • Offender 1:

  • Male, about 25 years old, about 1.80 meters tall, fair skinned, wearing a red cap, gray hooded parka (black shoulders), blue jeans and white sneakers with blue stripes, was carrying a black backpack.

  • Offender 2:

  • Male, about 1.70 meters tall, light skin, wearing a green cap, long black jacket, blue jeans, blue-purple sneakers with reflectors, carried a green backpack and wore a black mouth-nose mask.

Another burglary in Munich: this time in Schwabing

And another break-in happened in Munich.

On Saturday, around 6.50 p.m., a woman reported to the police and reported that a few hours earlier her apartment in Schwabing, in the area of ​​Lerchenauer Straße and Petuelring, had been broken into.

Immediately the police moved in with a patrol.

On site, the officers found that "between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., unknown perpetrators entered the apartment building and were able to force open the front door of the apartment," according to the police press report.

They stole laptops and hundreds of dollars worth of cash.

The perpetrators were then able to escape undetected.
