The main figures of entertainment walk the
red carpet
at the 28th installment of the
Critics' Choice Awards,
which reward the best film, television and streaming productions.
The awards given by the Critics Association (CCA) of the main publications and specialized magazines in the United States and Canada have "Elvis" as their main nominee, HBO leading the series categories and "Argentina, 1985" with a new chance to consolidate his way to the Oscar.
The Argentine film directed by Santiago Miter in which
Ricardo Darín
plays the prosecutor of the Juicio a las Juntas, Julio César Strassera, has just won the shortlist for best foreign film at the Golden Globes and the Critics' Choice awards set up another opportunity to stand out in the race for the Oscars.
The productions that will compete with the film directed by Santiago Miter are "All Quiet on the Western Front" (Germany), "Bardo, false chronicle of a few truths" (Mexico), "Close" (France), "Decision to Leave" (South Korea) and "RRR" (India).
The award ceremony takes place at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles
and is hosted by the American comedian
Chelsea Handler.

The productions that will compete in the category of Best Film are "Avatar: El camino del agua", "Babylon", "The Banshees of Inisherin", "Elvis", "Everything everywhere at the same time", "The Fabelmans", "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," "RRR," Tár, "Top Gun: Maverick," and "Women Talking."
HBO has 15 nominations
for its outstanding series "House of the Dragon," "Barry," "Euphoria," The Flight Attendant" and "The White Lotus."
Meanwhile, in the film categories, "Elvis" received nominations for Best Picture, Actor, Director, Production Design, Editing, Costume Design and Makeup & Hairstyling.
