FC Barcelona were proclaimed champions of the Spanish Super Cup after goals from Gavi, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri gave them a 3-1 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid on Sunday in Saudi Arabia .
Barça dominated in all facets of the game and took advantage of three errors by Real Madrid to score.
The Catalans took the lead in the 33rd minute after Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger fed a pass in his own box to Sergio Busquets, who started a play that ended with Gavi all alone inside the box to score with a precise left footed shot.
Lewandowski extended the lead 12 minutes later on a counter-attack in which Frenkie de Jong found Gavi, who slipped behind Real Madrid's defensive line.
He ran down the left flank before laying it out for the Polish striker, who finished into the empty net.

Real Madrid, who had failed to shoot on goal in the first half, spent most of the second in panic mode, trying to avoid a major defeat.
However, once again a costly mistake allowed Barcelona to score.
Substitute Dani Ceballos lost the ball in midfield and Gavi went on the attack and crossed for Pedri to fire into an empty goal.
Karim Benzema scored the honorary goal for Real Madrid in added time, finishing on a rebounding goal after Marc-Andre ter Stegen denied his first attempt.
