Christina Kragh Michelsen, who has lived for several years with Jean-Paul Guerlain, was sentenced on appeal for "willful violence against a vulnerable person".

It is a judicial soap opera that never ends.

For nearly ten years, the son of the famous nose Jean-Paul Guerlain, Stéphane Guerlain, and his father's companion, the nonagenarian Danish Christina Kragh Michelsen, have been waging a merciless war with complaints and lawsuits.

This Thursday, January 12, the Versailles Criminal Court sentenced the perfumer's concubine to a 4-month suspended prison sentence and 3,000 euros in damages on appeal for "willful violence against a vulnerable person", i.e. Jean-Paul Guerlain himself. , told

Le Figaro

the lawyer for the Guerlain son, Me Pascal Koerfer.

Christina Kragh was also ordered to pay 2,000 euros to an employee of the family home for "moral harassment".

The employee had assured

Le Figaro

that Christina Kragh “

prevented her from doing her job

” and repeated to her regularly that she “

did not know that the Arabs were clean

”.

For her part, the companion of Jean-Paul Guerlain says she is convinced that some of the employees of the property would have been asked to spy on her, for the benefit of the son of the perfumer.

A question of inheritance?

In October 2021, the accused was tried for acts of "harassment" and "neglect of a person unable to protect himself".

The prosecutor of the Republic of Versailles Philippe Toccanier had then requested against Christina Kragh 18 months of probationary suspended prison with prohibition to come into contact with Jean-Paul Guerlain and prohibition to reside in "La Vallée", the domain of the perfumer.

She had been released, but the prosecution had appealed.

This legal fight between the Guerlain son and the concubine was born of a few furious skirmishes concerning custody and the living conditions in which the patriarch now suffering from Alzheimer's lives.

Stéphane Guerlain believed that Christina Kragh Michelsen let her father live in unworthy conditions.

According to the statements of his lawyer, they argued regularly when he came to see his father to meet with him during weekly lunches, his companion not supporting these interviews.

These bickerings reached their peak when, one day in November, Stéphane Guerlain allegedly tried to run over Christina Kragh with his car.

The latter then filed a complaint for harassment and threats.

Stéphane Guerlain was released in June 2022.

At the helm, Christina Kragh's lawyer had claimed that the Guerlain son was waging "

a permanent war of harassment

" against his client, who also complained that he "

regularly cut off the heating

" and did not maintain the property .

.

"

There are gutters everywhere, water leaks in the basement, no television or internet, the fridge is always empty, trees are growing in one of the houses, the horses live in their excrement, the mattresses of the guest rooms were removed, the bidets torn off, the hot water and the heating cut off

”, explained two years ago to

Figaro

Me Frédéric Bélot, assuring that the estate is today “

in ruins

”.

Christina Kragh for her part believes that she was never welcome in this family and that Stéphane Guerlain would never have accepted that his father fell in love with her.

According to the Dane, he would have done everything to prevent her from marrying her father.

Me Koerfer affirms in return that his client is convinced that his father never wanted to marry this woman and that she "

manipulates

" him to take control of his inheritance.

With this court decision which seems to prove Stéphane Guerlain right, is the scent of discord that has reigned for so many years among the Guerlains about to fade?
