shed some light on the subject.
When asked about the minister's position, he remarked that
the deputies who have him as political chief will give their support to a project
that has become the summer warhorse of the ruling party.
"The representatives of the Frente Renovador space that make up the Political Judgment Commission have participated in the meetings that we have held via Zoom these days, and
they never raised anything different from what we raised
," Valdés said during an interview on
Radio Rivadavia
.
"What's more, among the 15 deputies are all the political spaces that we have signed," added the legislator from the Frente de Todos.
Regarding the trial, Valdés stressed that the evidence that the ruling party has "is compelling", and explained that the process "is the form of comptroller that the highest court has."
On the other hand, he denied that what is being sought is for a magistrate to resign from office to produce vacancies in the Nation's highest court of justice.
"Far from wanting them to resign,
we want them to defend themselves and hopefully they have the evidence to show that they did not perform poorly
in these cases," he said.
Finally, he referred to the position of Together for Change regarding the project, and criticized that its legislators seem "
more lawyers for the Supreme Court of Justice than deputies of the Nation
who have to sanction laws.
"It seems very good to me that they participate in the Political Judgment Commission, because it is very important that we have different opinions. What is not justified is that they do that and
do not participate in the extraordinary sessions
, because it is their duty. They cannot us condition", stressed the pro-government deputy.
"We have not done anything that does not correspond to us, that is wrong. What cannot be is blackmail" by the ruling party, he concluded.
