The Directorate of Agriculture in the countryside of Damascus has planted 3,000 fruitful forest trees of various varieties.

At the Seventh Bridge site on the road to Damascus International Airport, on the occasion of the 71st Tree Festival, and under the slogan (Let's plant...for a green future).

The Director of Agriculture, Eng. Irfan Ziyadah, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the forest afforestation plan for this year amounts to about 4,000 hectares, covering all areas of the governorate, especially the areas whose trees were cut down and burned, explaining that the family afforestation campaign, according to which each family is given five forest seedlings for free Encourage expansion, interest and preservation of the tree.

Ziada called on the administrative units in the province of Rif Dimashq to take the initiative to receive the forest seedlings allocated to them free of charge, amounting to 1,000 saplings per unit, with the aim of increasing the green area within their cities, towns and villages, and compensating for the lost trees that were cut down during the war years.

The governor of Damascus countryside, Safwan Abu Saadi, the secretary of the party branch, and popular and partisan activities in the governorate participated in the planting activity.
