Alfons Schuhbeck surprisingly changes his lawyers.

Background: The star chef definitely wants to avert his prison sentence.

According to information from our editorial team, there were different views about the revision - Schuhbeck has now brought an absolute expert to its side for this.

Munich – earthquake at Alfons Schuhbeck (73)!

The star chef surprisingly changes his lawyers.

The two top lawyers Markus Gotzens and Sascha König accompanied Schuhbeck for months through his criminal tax proceedings.

They were not able to avoid the sentence of three years and two months imprisonment.

A shock for Schuhbeck, who, with the help of both lawyers, had applied for an appeal to challenge his verdict.

He is now accompanied on this path by Professor Ali B. Norouzi - an expert in revision procedures.

The background: Schuhbeck had to justify his revision by Friday in order to avert immediate detention.

Why the change?

According to information from our editorial team, there were probably different views on the revision - especially with regard to its chances of success.

Accordingly, Schuhbeck wants to avoid starting his prison sentence at all costs.

By applying for a revision, he can at least postpone his detention.

The goal: The Federal Court of Justice should examine its criminal process for procedural errors, which can take up to a year.

If the BGH finds errors, the district court would have to renegotiate - Schuhbeck would then have time until around summer 2024 to find an investor for his tax liability.

With the damage paid, he would then have a chance of a suspended sentence.

But even experts consider it unlikely that everything will happen like this.

"After examining the written reasons for the judgment, Mr. Alfons Schuhbeck decided in good time that the appeal against the judgment of the Munich I Regional Court should be continued," the statement said on Friday.

"Here, Mr. Schuhbeck is supported by Prof. Dr.

Ali B. Norouzi, co-founder of the law firm WidmaierNorouzi Rechtsanwälte, Berlin, which specializes in criminal appeals, among other things.”

The two previous defense attorneys, Dr.

Markus Gotzens and Mr. Sascha König "ended the mandate by mutual agreement" and are now "no longer working for Mr. Schuhbeck".

Meanwhile, Schuhbeck continues to try to settle his tax debt.

According to the district court, this has not happened so far.

Specifically: Schuhbeck has not repaid a single euro so far.
