Today, the People's Assembly began the work of its first session of the eighth regular session of the third legislative session, chaired by Hamouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Council, and in the presence of the Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, and a number of ministers.
In his speech at the beginning of the session, Sabbagh stressed the need to continue serious work, parliament and government, in the context of general national action, and at all levels, in a way that contributes to overcoming the difficulties that impede this work as a result of the unjust sieges and unfair unilateral economic measures imposed and practiced by the forces of evil, injustice, aggression, occupation, and occupation. Parts of the Syrian land and the theft of its wealth and resources, which negatively affected the various aspects of the citizen’s life in terms of food, health, social and living conditions.
He called on the Speaker of the People's Assembly to continue exerting more effort and constructive work, in a way that meets the requirements of the people who deserve a lot from us in order to achieve the best, according to our available capabilities, and in light of the recommendations and directives of the leader of the country, Mr. President Bashar Al-Assad, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded and injured, and saluting Respect and reverence for the souls of the martyrs of the pure homeland, and salutations of pride and honor to the men of our valiant armed forces, the shield of the homeland and its impenetrable fence.
For his part, Eng. Arnous gave a presentation on the overall work of the government, and what has been implemented in all economic and service sectors, stressing that the impact of international repercussions and transformations on the national economy was more severe than its impact on the rest of the countries, due to the specificity of the situation in Syria as a result of the war against terrorism and its supporters since Almost 12 years, indicating that the last days of the past year were among the most difficult days on the economic and service levels, during the past years, due to the overlapping bilateral crisis that the country witnessed, represented by the decline in oil derivatives supplies, and the state of instability witnessed by the exchange rate.
The Prime Minister stated that a number of economic, monetary, administrative and organizational measures and decisions were taken in an effort to control the exchange market, according to the available capabilities, stressing that the government continues to work hard to address the problems, and achieve clear results at the economic and service levels, in order to meet the needs and requirements of citizens in various fields. and sectors.
