The establishment media in Iran reported today (Sunday) that the Sukhoi-35 aircraft that Russia is supposed to supply to the Islamic Republic as part of the consideration for the supply of Iranian drones to the Russian forces on the fighting front in Ukraine are expected to arrive as early as this March.
According to local reports cited in the "Tehran Times", 24 planes will arrive in March.
It was also said that some of them will be stationed at the base of the Iranian Air Force in Isfahan, in the center of the country, where there is also an advanced nuclear enrichment facility.
In an interview with the news agency close to the Revolutionary Guards "Tasnim", the lawmaker Shahriar Hydari confirmed that the regime ordered Sukhoi-35 fighter jets from Russia which will arrive in the Islamic Republic this March.
As you may recall, in recent months it has been reported by several sources in the West that in exchange for the attack drones that Iran recently provided to the Russian Federation to fight in Ukraine - including suicide drones - Russia pledged to upgrade the military cooperation between the countries to an "unprecedented" level, among other things by fighter jets and military capabilities that would endanger the Islamic Republic's regional neighbors.

Shahriar, who is also a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, added that as part of the bilateral agreement, Moscow will provide advanced air defense equipment, as well as missiles and combat helicopters.
The last purchase of fighter jets by the regime was in the 1990s, an opportunity that was also then provided through the Russian Ministry of Defense, as noted in Iran.
