Al-Hasakah - SANA
The Syrian Society for Childhood Cancer Treatment and Care opened three medical clinics in Al-Gharb Health Center, south of Al-Hasakah, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health, and with the support of the United Nations Syria Humanitarian Fund.
The head of the association, Muzna al-Olabi, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the opening of the clinics comes as part of a health project that the association is implementing after agreeing with the Health Directorate to open clinics inside the Western Center (internal, gynecological and pediatric), to provide free medical services and medicines to the patients.
Al-Olabi affirmed the association's continued endeavor to provide health services in other regions according to the need, and in cooperation and coordination with the Directorate of Health, Social Affairs and Labor.
For his part, Dr. Issa Khalaf, Director of Al-Hasakah Health, explained in a similar statement the importance of opening clinics inside the center to support the health sector in the southern countryside and provide medical services for free, especially since the center serves dozens of population centers, and will save citizens the costs of transportation, treatment and medicines, especially in remote areas.
Earlier last year, the Syrian Society for Children's Cancer and Care opened similar clinics in health centers (Tal Ahmed, Al-Saadiya and Al-Ahmadi) in the countryside of Qamishli, with the support of the World Health Organization.
