As part of the ongoing attempts to turn Ukraine into a backyard for the West and a tool to fight Russia, arms and ammunition supplies continue to Kyiv, with Britain announcing today its intention to send 14 main battle tanks (Challenger 2) along with additional artillery support.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's office announced in a statement reported by Reuters that a batch of 14 Challenger 2 tanks will go to Ukraine in the coming weeks, and about 30 AS90 self-propelled guns are expected to follow.

The new escalatory move by London came after a phone call between Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday, during which the British Prime Minister outlined what he called "Britain's ambition to intensify support for Kiev, including the provision of Challenger 2 tanks and additional artillery systems."

This British step confirms the insistence of London and other Western countries, at the behest and orders of the United States, to continue pumping weapons into Kyiv, and turning Ukraine into a burning battlefield, as it came in parallel with an American move to send Stryker armored combat vehicles, in addition to 4,000 Zuni missiles that can be fired. installed on helicopters.

Amid the new Western military escalations of the crisis, Russia's delegate to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, confirmed yesterday that Ukraine has turned into a military company affiliated with NATO, which pays Kiev money, provides it with weapons and intelligence information, and sets targets for it to strike.

In a related context, an officer in the Donetsk People's Republic announced that Washington's directive to send 18 units of self-propelled howitzers and 18 support vehicles to Kyiv shows that the latter is seeking to build a howitzer squadron from scratch to compensate for what was destroyed.

The officer said, according to what was reported by the TASS agency: The number of cannons is distinguished because it means the ability to build a unit or a new squadron of howitzers.

Yesterday, local sources in Donetsk revealed that mercenaries from NATO countries had trained Ukrainian militants to use Western-made artillery to target residential areas in the republic.

It is noteworthy that Washington's military aid to Kyiv so far is estimated at $24.2 billion, while the administration of US President Joe Biden recently announced the allocation of the largest package of military weapons to Ukraine, which exceeds three billion dollars, provided that it includes Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, self-propelled howitzers and armored vehicles. HIMARS missiles, in addition to other equipment and ammunition.
