Theater director Zine El Abidine Tayyar: Theater is a mirror of our reality and it must be supported

Theater director Zine El Abidine Tayar is considered one of the young directors who raised in their works many social and humanitarian issues, which touched a wide range of people.

And about his beginnings in the theater, Tayyar indicated in his interview with SANA Al-Thaqafa that it was since 2000 through the school theater and his work with the Revolutionary Youth Union, and he was a student at the hands of the theater director from the city of Homs, “Taif Allah Murad.” Syria, and won many awards as a result.

And Tayyar said that after that he was dispatched by the Ministry of Education to the city of Damascus, and he joined several courses in theater directing, through which he learned a lot of the basics of directing, in addition to his work in the university theater as an actor, and with the Children's Theater and the Artists Syndicate.

He directed his first theatrical work in 2008 for the university theater entitled “Rich and Three Poor,” which won several awards at the Central Festival in Tartous, in addition to his participation in the Damascus Theater Festival, considering it an important participation for him as he was the youngest director among the participants, as his age at that time did not exceed 22. A year for his works to follow, including the play The Forest, in which he participated with Dr. Samir Othman Al-Bash, at the National Theater, the play The Sneeze, which was shown in several governorates, and the play The Sheep.

He presented works for children, Tales of Scheherazade, for the National Theater of the Directorate of Theaters and Music, in addition to courses for preparing and training actors, and about his work, Telling Newspapers, which he authored and directed, and was shown on the occasion of the Arab Theater Day celebration. The difficult economic situation that society suffers from and issues affecting the Syrian youth.

A pilot pointed out the importance of theater in presenting social issues, and therefore it must be supported and supported by playwrights, whether actors, directors or writers, explaining that despite the difficult economic conditions, there are still many young energies who believe in its importance, and are trying to make a theater worthy of them, stressing that the theater is A mirror for society and reality, he added: “At this time, we need a theater that talks about our concerns and pain, and relieves us of the pressures of life we ​​live in.”

It is noteworthy that the director, Zine El-Abidine, is a pilot, actor and theater director, a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and is currently working at the National Theater as a theater director in the city of Homs.
