A cruise from another world:

more than 2,000 crew members, 22 floors, six pools, 14 jacuzzi facilities, a dry spiral slide, theater and music performances, a huge casino, an open buffet and 24 hours of activity: welcome World Europa - the new ship of the MSC shipping company.

It was launched in 2022, and was designed to accommodate more than 5,000 guests on board at the same time - a figure that is hard to grasp until you get to the white monster and understand its size.

In the world of luxurious cruises, the vacation experience is based on several elements known in advance.

After boarding the ship and receiving the rooms in the lobby (more than 65 percent of them with a sea view, don't give up!), we received an orientation map for guests who wish to get to know the structure of the ship.

Those who skip the map will be able to use the hundreds of digital information stations (touch screens) scattered along its length and breadth.

A sailing vacation includes mooring at organized beaches, which allows you to go down to the beach for a few hours or for a whole day, and sailing in the evening and at night.

As soon as you board the ship, it's hard not to marvel at its beauty.

The investment in planning and design is evident in every corner.

Befitting a new and luxurious ship, it has a 104 meter long promenade along the deck with a view of the sea.

You can look out over the smooth sea even while bathing in the pools located at a high altitude, and from all the jacuzzi facilities.

Imagine yourself wading in a huge jacuzzi and watching the waves or the sunset.

After the immersion you can enjoy the dozens of bars and buffets selling food and drinks scattered around.

Pleasant spin

But the water attractions don't end here.

As with ships of its type, WE offers the AURORA BOREALIS - a huge water park designed for children, young people and adventurous adults.

The park offers normal slides, tube slides, fountains and pools for adults and children.

And if you feel like gliding on dry land, there is also a unique facility - a modern dry spiral slide made of metal, very fast, which "cuts" 11 stories from the ship.

This is an exciting and recommended extreme experience, which lasts about 40 seconds and cannot be forgotten.

Since we tried it on ourselves, we can say that it is suitable not only for the brave.

WE was adapted to family travel for a variety of ages, so we were not surprised to find children's clubs open around the clock.

Each age group is assigned instructors from the entertainment team, who are responsible for long hours of varied activities - games, dancing, creating, parties, theater performances, competitions and sessions, all in international English, for the benefit of all cruise children.

A special room in the ship is the yellow Lego room, loaded with tens of thousands of Lego blocks for endless construction.

The teenagers won't feel deprived either - for them there are gaming rooms, gaming machines, a cinema room, basketball facilities, a night club and also crash cars.

For the older crowd, like us, WE offers a variety of activities that can make a human head spin.

A daily guide publishes the activities offered to the ship's guests, which include various sports classes, dance classes, movies, theater and music performances, art classes and parties.

Those who wish to exercise can go to the sports club, which is open until 11:00 p.m.

Food, food and food

The meals are perhaps the main part of the cruises, because what did we come for if not to eat (and hang out).

WE has dining 24/7, which includes favorite Italian food (pizzas, focaccia), favorite American cuisine (hamburgers, fries) and more.

Beyond the open buffets, there are the ship's restaurants, which serve arranged breakfasts and dinners at fixed times.

It is possible to upgrade the meals by entering the MSC YACHT CLUB, which offers unique gourmet meals or purchasing a subscription to 13 additional restaurants, such as an American steakhouse, an authentic Asian restaurant, a sushi bar, a taco bar and a seafood restaurant.

Kosher eaters have a solution in the form of salad bars and side buffets, which are also suitable for vegetarians.

Cruises have become a sought-after product in recent years.

However, the Israeli consumer is not yet familiar with all the options in the industry, so it is important to adapt the Cruze for him.

"It is advisable to purchase a cruise through an expert agent," says Tali Noy, VP of Marketing and Sales at ISTA, "because if there is a flight delay, for example, it is very difficult to join the rest of the cruise."
