The Anti-Narcotics Branch in Homs arrested 4 people on charges of promoting and trafficking in narcotic substances, and confiscated quantities of them that were hidden in the home of one of them.
The Ministry of the Interior stated in a statement, a copy of which SANA received, that information was received by the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Homs about the presence of a person who promotes and trades narcotic substances, and that he has a quantity of them in his house located in the Karm al-Zaytoun neighborhood of the governorate.
The ministry indicated that the aforementioned house was investigated, the owner’s brother was arrested, and a gun was confiscated from him. Upon interrogation, he admitted that narcotic substances were present in the house and hidden under the tiles by his brother (the owner of the house), who was arrested on the (Homs-Damascus) road, and his car was impounded. "Kia Rio".
The ministry pointed out that the second arrested person (the owner of the house) confessed during his interrogation that he used his car to transport and promote drugs from Aleppo to Homs, and that he hid a quantity of narcotic substances in his house in partnership with two other people, who were also arrested.
The ministry confirmed that the narcotic substances were extracted and confiscated, and their weight amounted to 25 kg of narcotic hashish, and that investigations are still ongoing with those arrested to reveal all those involved in the case and take the necessary measures against them.
