At the same time as the "hit farewell" with Florian Silbereisen (Das Erste), RTL first showed Dieter Bohlen's DSDS comeback, then the second jungle camp episode.
However, the odds duel had a clear winner.

January traditionally brings TV viewers a number of TV highlights.
So also on Saturday evening (January 14): While in the first Jürgen Drews' (77) emotional "hit farewell" with Florian Silbereisen (41) ran almost until midnight, RTL only put on "Germany is looking for the superstar" (from 8:15 p.m.). ), then to the jungle camp (from 10:15 p.m.).
But which show was most popular with television audiences?
Quota battle on Saturday evening – Silbereisen hit show competes with DSDS and jungle camp
"The big hit farewell" for the king of Mallorca was already filmed in late autumn last year, but only now flickered across the television screens.
Cult moderator Florian Silbereisen once again led through the almost three and a half hour evening, in which the big names of the hit industry were on stage with Roland Kaiser (70), Andy Borg (62) and Maite Kelly (43).
On Saturday evening (December 14), Florian Silbereisen competed against two RTL ratings hits with Jürgen Drews' "Schlagerabschied".

While Jürgen Drews was duly said goodbye in the first, another music great celebrated a small comeback in the competing program on RTL: at the start of the DSDS anniversary season, after a year's break, pop titan Dieter Bohlen (68) was finally seen again as chief judge.
Anyone who stayed tuned in afterwards witnessed, among other things, how thoroughbred vegan Tessa Bergmeier (33) struggled through the jungle test in the jungle camp (all jungle camp broadcast dates 2023).
Jungle camp: The quotas have been falling for years …
The jungle camp is still a ratings hit on RTL, but the numbers have been falling almost continuously since 2013.
The start of the 16th season on Friday evening (January 13, 2023) was watched by 4.26 million viewers, as RTL announced in a press release.
In previous years, the first episodes were more successful:
2013

Silbereisen himself only had to admit defeat in one show: With his Saturday evening crime thriller “A Strong Team – In the Name of the People”, ZDF once again recorded a brilliant daily win (6.95 million viewers; market share of 25.8%).
However, not only the good numbers caused a sensation, but also the Saturday evening program itself: The ARD viewers reacted angrily to the guest list of Jürgen Drews' "Schlagerabschied".
