The Children and Puppet Theater in Damascus hosted the play “House of Friends” as part of the Child and Puppet Theater Festival, which is held by the Directorate of Theaters and Music at the Ministry of Culture, on the occasion of the midterm school holiday.
The show, which was written and directed by Abd al-Salam Badawi, is directed at children of young age groups, as it relied on cartoon characters they love to communicate the ideas contained in the play smoothly.
The story of the play talks about the importance of friendship and cooperation between friends to achieve goals and overcome difficulties.
The child, Ikhlas Malas, 10 years old, expressed her admiration for the show, her love for the participating characters, and her constant keenness to follow all the performances of the Children's Theater.
While the playwright, Zuhair Al-Bikai, saw that the Children's Theater Festival is a distinguished event because of the fun it provides for the family, the great benefit for children of different age groups, and the educational values that teach children important principles in life, noting the need for the texts presented to be simple and easy, but with deep thought.
